The Geneva International Motor Show is an annual auto show held in March in the Swiss city of Geneva. INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY SHOW GERMANY

The International Mobility Show Germany or simply International Mobility Show, in German known as the Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA – International Automobile Exhibition), is the world’s largest mobility show. It is held annually, with passenger vehicles, motorcycles and bikes being displayed as the IAA Mobility Show in odd-numbered years in Munich, and IAA Transportation for commercial vehicles in even-numbered years in Hanover, Germany. Before 1991, the show was held solely in Frankfurt.

PARIS MOTOR SHOW

The Paris Motor Show (French: Mondial de l’Automobile) is a biennial auto show in Paris. Held during October, it is one of the most important auto shows, often with many new production automobile and concept car debuts. The show presently takes place in Paris expo Porte de Versailles. The Mondial is scheduled by the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d’Automobiles, which considers it a major international auto show.

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

The New York Fashion Week, held in February and September of each year, is a semi-annual series of events (generally lasting 7–9 days) when international fashion collections are shown to buyers, the press, and the general public. It is one of four major fashion weeks in the world, collectively known as the “Big 4”, along with those in Paris, London, and Milan.

MILAN FASHION WEEK

Milan Fashion Week (Italian: Settimana della moda) is a clothing trade show held semi-annually in Milan, Italy. The autumn/winter event is held in February/March of each year, and the spring/summer event is held in September/October of each year.

PARIS FASHION WEEK

Paris Fashion Week (French: Semaine de la mode de Paris) is a series of designer presentations held semiannually in Paris, France with spring/summer and autumn/winter events held each year. Dates are determined by the French Fashion Federation. Paris Fashion Week is held at venues throughout the city.

London Fashion Week (LFW) is a clothing trade show that takes place in London twice a year, in February and September. Showcasing over 250 designers to a global audience of influential media and retailers.

VENICE CARNIVAL

The Venice Carnival is a class of its own. No other carnival on Earth can compete with its stylishness, elegance and extreme richness of its masks and costumes. Groups of Renaissance aristocrats, queens, kings, harlequins and sea creatures set against the subtle background of Venice create a dream-like show of mystery and magic.

THE CARNIVAL OF SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE

The Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife is held each February in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the capital of the largest island of the Canary Islands, Spain and attracts people from all over the world. It is considered the second most popular and internationally known carnival, after the one held in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Partially for this reason, the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife is twinned with the city of Rio de Janeiro.

COLOGNE CARNIVAL

The city of Cologne, Germany declares Carnival (a deep-seated, carnival-like festival) the “fifth season” in its city. The planning for this celebration traditionally begins at 11 minutes past 11 on November 11, then party planners take a break over the Advent and Christmas holidays before festivities start in early February. During the celebration, street parades, balls, and stage shows are aplenty and Kölsch (the beloved local beer) flows freely. Children and adults adorn themselves in ridiculous masquerade costumes and the party takes to the streets.

NICE CARNIVAL

The Nice Carnival is one of the world’s major carnival events, alongside the Brazilian Carnival, Venetian Carnival, and Mardi Gras in New Orleans. It is held annually in February and sometimes early March (depending on the movable date of Carnival in the Christian calendar) in Nice on the French Riviera. Today, the two-week event attracts over a million visitors to Nice every year.

BASLER FASNACHT

The Carnival of Basel is the biggest carnival in Switzerland and takes place annually between February and March in Basel. It has been listed as one of the top fifty local festivities in Europe. Since 2017, the Carnival of Basel has been included in UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage.

Primavera Sound is one of the largest and most-attended music festivals in Europe and the biggest in the Mediterranean.

GLASTONBURY

Glastonbury Festival is a five-day festival of contemporary performing arts that takes place in Pilton, Somerset, in England. In addition to contemporary music, the festival hosts dance, comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret, and other arts. Leading pop and rock artists have headlined, alongside thousands of others appearing on smaller stages and performance areas. Films and albums have been recorded at the festival, and it receives extensive television and newspaper coverage.

ROCK AM RING & ROCK IM PARK

The Rock am Ring (German for “Rock at the Ring”) and Rock im Park (“Rock in the Park”) festivals are two simultaneous rock music festivals held annually. While Rock am Ring takes place at the Nürburgring race track, Rock im Park takes place at the Zeppelinfeld in Nuremberg. Sharing nearly identical lineups, the two festivals are usually regarded as one event. Combined, Rock im Park and Rock am Ring are the largest music festivals held in Germany and one of the largest in the world.

SZIGET FESTIVAL

The Sziget Festival is one of the largest music and cultural festivals in Europe. It is held every August in northern Budapest, Hungary, on Óbudai-sziget (“Old Buda Island”), a leafy 108-hectare (266-acre) island on the Danube. More than 1,000 performances take place each year.

2022 FIFA WORLD CUP

The 2022 FIFA World Cup  is scheduled to be the 22nd running of the FIFA World Cup competition, the quadrennial international men’s football championship contested by the national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It is scheduled to take place in Qatar from 21 November to 18 December 2022. This will be the first World Cup ever to be held in the Arab world and the second World Cup held entirely in Asia.

AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS

The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (also referred to as AFCON 2021 or CAN 2021), is the 33rd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the biennial international men’s football championship of Africa organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The tournament is being hosted by Cameroon, and taking place from 9 January to 6 February 2022.

UEFA LEAGUE OF NATIONS

The 2022–23 UEFA Nations League will be the third season of the UEFA Nations League, an international association football competition involving the men’s national teams of the 55 member associations of UEFA.[1] The competition will be held from June to September 2022 (league phase), June 2023 (Nations League Finals), and March 2024 (relegation play-outs).

FIFA CLUB WORLD CUP

The 2021 FIFA Club World Cup is scheduled to be the 18th edition of the FIFA Club World Cup, a FIFA-organised international club football tournament between the winners of the six continental confederations, as well as the host nation’s league champions. The tournament will be held from 3 to 12 February 2022 in the United Arab Emirates.

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

The 2021–22 UEFA Champions League is the 67th season of Europe’s premier club football tournament organised by UEFA, and the 30th season since it was renamed from the European Champion Clubs’ Cup to the UEFA Champions League. The final will be played at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, France.

UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE

The 2021–22 UEFA Europa League is the 51st season of Europe’s secondary club football tournament organised by UEFA, and the 13th season since it was renamed from the UEFA Cup to the UEFA Europa League. The final will be played at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán in Seville, Spain.

UEFA EUROPA CONFERENCE LEAGUE

The UEFA Europa Conference League (abbreviated as UECL), colloquially referred to as the UEFA Conference League, is an annual football club competition organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) for eligible European football clubs. Clubs qualify for the competition based on their performance in their national leagues and cup competitions. It is the third tier of European club football, after the Champions League and the Europa League. Introduced for the 2021–22 season, the league will serve as the bottom level of the existing UEFA Europa League competition, which was reduced from 48 to 32 teams in the group stage.

The Campeonato de España–Copa de Su Majestad el Rey, commonly known as Copa del Rey or simply La Copa and formerly known as Copa del Generalísimo (1939–76), is an annual knockout football competition in Spanish football, organized by the Royal Spanish Football Federation.

BUNDESLIGA

The 2021–22 Bundesliga is the 59th season of the Bundesliga, Germany’s premier football competition. It began on 13 August 2021 and will conclude on 14 May 2022.

GERMAN FOOTBALL CUP

The 2021–22 DFB-Pokal is the 79th season of the annual German football cup competition. Sixty-four teams participate in the competition, including all teams from the previous year’s Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga. The competition began on 6 August 2021 with the first of six rounds and will end on 21 May 2022 with the final at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, a nominally neutral venue, which has hosted the final since 1985.

SERIE A

The 2021–22 Serie A is the 120th season of top-tier Italian football, the 90th in a round-robin tournament, and the 12th since its organization under an own league committee, the Lega Serie A.

COPPA ITALIA

The 2021–22 Coppa Italia is the 75th edition of the national cup in Italian football.

2021 was an year of transformation for EGT Jet. We were able to purchase, accept the delivery and start commercial operations with two new Embraer Phenom 300E aircrafts.

The process wasn’t easy, but with a hard work from our team and partners from Embraer Executive Aircraft, CAE Inc, IAS Ltd. and Bulgarian Directorate General “Civil Aviation Administration” we managed to deliver the aircrafts on time and start operations.

The preparation for the aircrafts delivery took us more than 6 months. During this time we trained our pilots, engineers and mechanics with the help of our partners at CAE. The training in pandemic conditions was not easy since we had to adhere to the mandatory quarantine requirements and travel restrictions. Our engineers went trough an remote live general familiarization training provided by CAE. The mechanics were able to finish their training in two parts – remote live theoretical training  by CAE and practical training in Embraer service center at Paris-Le Bourget Airport. The pilots were trained by CAE in Amsterdam on state of the art simulators and finished their base training in the UK. We managed to prepare the required documents and apply for all the approvals needed.

The delivery process was also a challenge due to COVID-19 travel restrictions and health requirements in different countries. The delivery took place in Embraer USA facilities in Melbourne, Florida. The process is straightforward and started with a presentation flight in accordance with a predefined procedure to test the aircraft systems and cabin equipment in flight. The flight was performed by Embraer factory test pilots and EGT Jet pilots and engineers on board. After the flight a detailed physical inspection of the aircraft was performed and all discrepancies were rectified. An airworthiness review was performed by the USA Federal Aviation Administration and the Bulgarian Directorate General “Civil Aviation Administration” to issue all the required documents.

The ferry flight to Sofia was an interesting endeavor since a light jet is not designed to cross oceans. The flight followed the so called “Blue spruce” routes over the North Atlantic – they provide non stop VHF coverage for the traffic and are used by smaller aircrafts or aircrafts without the required long range navigation capabilities. We took off from Melbourne, Florida (KMLB) early in the morning and landed in Bangor, Maine (KBGR) to clear export formalities with US Customs and Border Protection. The next day was the North Atlantic crossing from Bangor, Maine (KBGR) trough CFB Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador (CYYR) to Keflavik, Iceland (BIKF). We had to take an extra flotation equipment – life rafts, ELTs, and neoprene suits on board from Goose Bay. After a good rest in Keflavik we took the final flight from Keflavik, Iceland (BIKF) trough Wick, Scotland (EGPC) to drop the extra equipment and from there to our home base in Sofia, Bulgaria (LBSF), where a warm welcome with a water salute marked the end of the trip. LA SCALA

La Scala abbreviation in Italian of the official name Teatro alla Scala is an opera house in Milan, Italy.  Most of Italy’s greatest operatic artists, and many of the finest singers from around the world, have appeared at La Scala. The theatre is regarded as one of the leading opera and ballet theatres globally. It is home to the La Scala Theatre Chorus, La Scala Theatre Ballet, La Scala Theatre Orchestra, and the Filarmonica della Scala orchestra. The theatre also has an associate school, known as the La Scala Theatre Academy (Italian: Accademia Teatro alla Scala), which offers professional training in music, dance, stagecraft, and stage management.

BOLSHOI THEATRE

The Bolshoi Theatre is a historic theatre in Moscow, Russia, originally designed by architect Joseph Bové, which holds ballet and opera performances. The Bolshoi Ballet and Bolshoi Opera are among the oldest and best known ballet and opera companies in the world. It is by far the world’s biggest ballet company, with more than 200 dancers. The theatre is the parent company of The Bolshoi Ballet Academy, a leading school of ballet.

MARIINSKY THEATRE

The Mariinsky Theatre is a historic theatre of opera and ballet in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Opened in 1860, it became the preeminent music theatre of late 19th-century Russia, where many of the stage masterpieces of Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, and Rimsky-Korsakov received their premieres. Through most of the Soviet era, it was known as the Kirov Theatre. Today, the Mariinsky Theatre is home to the Mariinsky Ballet, Mariinsky Opera and Mariinsky Orchestra.

THE ROYAL OPERA HOUSE

The Royal Opera House (ROH) is an opera house and major performing arts venue in Covent Garden, central London. The large building is often referred to as simply Covent Garden, after a previous use of the site. It is the home of The Royal Opera, The Royal Ballet, and the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House.

WIENER STAATSOPER

The Vienna State Opera is an opera house and opera company based in Vienna, Austria. The opera house was inaugurated as the “Vienna Court Opera” (Wiener Hofoper) in the presence of Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth of Austria. The members of the Vienna Philharmonic are recruited from the Vienna State Opera’s orchestra. The building is also the home of the Vienna State Ballet, and it hosts the annual Vienna Opera Ball during the carnival season.

THE DEUTSCHE OPER BERLIN

The Deutsche Oper Berlin is a German opera company located in the Charlottenburg district of Berlin. The resident building is the country’s second largest opera house (after Munich’s) and also home to the Berlin State Ballet. Since 2004, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, like the Staatsoper Unter den Linden (Berlin State Opera), the Komische Oper Berlin, the Berlin State Ballet, and the Bühnenservice Berlin (Stage and Costume Design), has been a member of the Berlin Opera Foundation.

THE PARIS OPERA

The Paris Opera is the primary opera and ballet company of France. It was founded in 1669 by Louis XIV as the Académie d’Opéra, and shortly thereafter was placed under the leadership of Jean-Baptiste Lully and officially renamed the Académie Royale de Musique, but continued to be known more simply as the Opéra. Classical ballet as it is known today arose within the Paris Opera as the Paris Opera Ballet and has remained an integral and important part of the company. Currently called the Opéra national de Paris, it mainly produces operas at its modern 2,723-seat theatre Opéra Bastille which opened in 1989, and ballets and some classical operas at the older 1,979-seat Palais Garnier which opened in 1875. Small scale and contemporary works are also staged in the 500-seat Amphitheatre under the Opéra Bastille.

TEATRO REAL

Teatro Real (Royal Theatre) or simply El Real, as it is known colloquially, is a major opera house located in Madrid. Founded in 1818 and inaugurated on 19 November 1850, it closed in 1925 and reopened in 1966. Beginning in 1988 it underwent major refurbishing and renovation works and finally reopened in 1997 with a capacity of 1,746 seats. Today the Teatro Real opera is one of the great theaters of Europe hosting large productions involving leading international figures in opera singing, musical direction, stage direction and dance.

Formula 1 has revealed the calendar for the 2022 season, with a record-breaking 23 Grand Prix schedule being approved by the FIA’s World Motor Sport Council.
The season will begin in Bahrain on 20 March and finish in Abu Dhabi on 20 November, one month before Christmas – with Miami hosting the first of two races in the United States.

MOTOGP

The provisional 2022 FIM MotoGP™ World Championship calendar has been released, consisting of 21 Rounds running from March to November that include visits to two new venues in Indonesia and Finland.

WRC

The 2022 FIA World Rally Championship will be the fiftieth season of the World Rally Championship, an auto racing competition recognized by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) as the highest class of international rallying.

FAI WEC

Season 10 marks the tenth anniversary of the FIA World Endurance Championship, a landmark year for the series which is about to enter a new golden era of sportscars. The 24 Hours of Le Mans – the cornerstone of the FIA WEC – will return to its tradition slot in June. The calendar also features popular and iconic tracks such as Sebring, Spa, Monza, Fuji and Bahrain.

OTHER SPORTS

SKI

The International Ski Federation (FIS) Alpine Ski World Cup is the premier circuit for alpine skiing competition. The inaugural season launched in January 1967, and the 2021–22 season marks the 56th consecutive year for the FIS World Cup. This season began in October 2021 in Sölden, Austria, and is intended to conclude in mid-March 2022 at the finals in Courchevel/Méribel, France. It will be interrupted for most of February by the Winter Olympics in Beijing, China.

CYCLING

In road bicycle racing, a Grand Tour is one of the three major European professional cycling stage races: Giro d’Italia, Tour de France, and Vuelta a España. Collectively they are termed the Grand Tours, and all three races are similar in format being three week races with daily stages. They have a special status in the UCI regulations: more points for the UCI World Tour are distributed in Grand Tours than in other races, and they are the only stage races allowed to last longer than 14 days.
